HITOHA was founded by a Japanese textile designer who got obsessed with the uneven beauty of natural dye and wax resist block print of Java, Indonesia. After her geeky joy of several experiments and exploring to find the best of everything such as genuine natural dye house, skilled copper artisans, wax masters, weaving house, pattern maker and tailor, we became a strong team of a little happy clothing brand.

Our mission is sustainable way of producing garments while supporting to preserve amazing traditional textile techniques of Java, Indonesia. And, spread the happy clothes around the world.

We would like to proudly call ourselves slow fashion as it takes at least six months to produce. Sometimes sudden tropical rain makes it longer, but that we call it Javan time and cherish it. We hope our art work through hands of several artisans will find a way to your closet eventually!
